For the guys who watch a lot of movies or listen to a lot of audio files, you understand the value of a good media player and how it can change your experience. The major problem we run into is these weird formats that won’t play on normal media players.

Fortunately, there are several awesome media players that are available for free. Yes, free! Equip yourself in a way that you’ll never have to worry about weird formats ever again.

VLC

VLC is a free and opensource software to watch movie and videos in general. VLC supports a large collection of video and audio format especially when you keep your codecs up to date. Some of the supported formats include MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, MP3, OGG etc.

The UI is simple and does not include any ads.

DIVX player

DIVX supports a variety of file formats among them AVI, MKV, MP4 and DIVX. DIVX never compromises on quality and is one of the best to use while watching Ultra HD videos.

KM player

KM player has an internal codec that allows it to play a huge variety of formats that other players can’t. KM player includes support forĀ 3D, 2K, 4K & UHD. Other cool features include an inbuilt subtitle editor, and the ability to adjust the playback screen with respect to your screen.
